What I can’t figure out is how you’re getting all those points to match up. That ability completely eludes me, no matter how many times I rip it out and start over. It looks awesome (even though I’m not your partner)!
I’ll attribute the matching points to lots of trimming! I’ll tell you a secret. According to the size I cut the original squares (6″) the finished hourglass block should have been 5.5″ square. I trimmed each down to 5″ square to make sure I got it real square. Oftentimes my worst sewing was at the tips of the triangles, so cutting off those tips when making the blocks 5″ probably helped me out!
